what is had is beautiful.

Thoughts on words like respect, disagreement and friendship among other things. Sometimes I find my favorite conversations in life are ones in which my views are emphatically contested. The key word is sometimes.

A good friend of mine has a natural knack for arguing with me, and to the end and on pretty much most anything under the sun; but when this happens the outcome is most usually enriched perspective although the disagreement is maintained; we both walk away with something new.

This sort of thing is not an everyday kind of thing.
