Man of virtue.

I never saw his artist
outside him.
Nor had anyone.
Until he went under.

His artist resurfaced
with a chip on his shoulder.

He cheers on the dream
he cannot abandon
even if he attains
is a best guess
as to flies on walls
when they become in past tense,
as they bask in some relative glory.

He is a real stoic.
It’s not even his problem.
