I don’t want to placebo myself short term
on a high for motivation
into thinking I can surmount the rock.
Michael Jordan won’t save my soul,
Harvard dropouts won’t tend my falls,
Joe schmoe is most my speed,
and just like that I’m below my limit
but such is where I belong,
honestly,
disillusioned with the likes of Gandhi
and his fatalistic ascension.
